Mentoring
The Craft Potters Association is delighted to have launched an exciting, mentoring programme!
The aim of the mentoring programme is to serve the needs of CPA Associate Members who are new or emerging studio ceramic artists with up to three years in practice. It will provide professional and creative support up to ten mentees each year.
The CPA Mentorship Scheme partners Selected and Fellow Members with Associates for mentoring that can include professional guidance, ceramics technical advice, creative discussion of Associate’s projects and general problem-solving in order to foster progress and better professional outcomes for the Associate. Each partnership should be self-organising and can happen online, over the phone, by email, in person or a combination of all of these.
The aim is to create connections between experienced professionals (Selected and Fellow Members) and early to mid career ceramicists who are Associates of the CPA. It’s hoped that this will further enhance a sense of community within the CPA and aid the individuals involved in a professional capacity through direct communication between CPA members at different levels.
Applications are now closed for this year, but if you’re interested in finding out more about the scheme please email Matt Wood at mattwood@ceramicreview.com
